1. Summary

  The EPSON OPOS ADK Version 2.61E Uninstaller patch2 has been released.
  This patch addresses the following issue:
    - Fixed an issue where binary and multi-string registry values from third 
      parties were being over-written when OPOS is uninstalled.
      
      Example of binary :
      (Current)
      Before uninstallation:
      "VirtualCodes"=hex:35,ba,ba,35,bf => "VirtualCodes"="5oo5?
      (New)
      Before uninstalltion:
      "VirtualCodes"=hex:35,ba,ba,35,bf => "VirtualCodes"=hex:35,ba,ba,35,bf

      Example of multi-string:
      (Current)
      Before uninstallation:
      "MultiString"=hex(7):41,41,41,00,42,42,42,42,00,00 => "MultiString"="AAA" 
      (New)
      Before uninstallation:

2. Procedure

  Apply the following procedure to install this patch:
  1. Copy "opos261_patch2.EXE" to a local folder.
  2. Execute "opos261_patch2.EXE".


3. Notes

  - Administrator privileges are required to execute the patch
  - Before uninstalling be sure to apply this patch
  - Uninstall by selecting "EPSON OPOS ADK Version 2.61" from 
    "Add or Remove Programs"
    (If uninstallation is done by executing "Setup.exe" from the installer 
    "Disk1" folder, the problem described above will occur.)
