Explanation The Firmware Updater allows you to update the firmware of the printer. However, depending on the usage environment, the update may cause malfunction of the printer. Please contact your dealer or system integrator to make sure that there is no problem with the update.

[Function change]
- Modified the firmware so that the alternative part operates correctly on the printer to deal with EOL of the current USB HUB.


[Restrictions]
- The “Print Spooler” service stops while the tool is running; therefore, printer will not be able to print.
- If you use the Wi-Fi dongle (OT-WL02/05/06) with TM-T88VII, an error message will appear after the firmware update has completed. In this case, the update itself completed successfully. Please follow the message then.
- Updating the firmware may take about 100 minutes via Serial I/F. We recommend updating the firmware using USB or a network I/F.

  • In the [Download] box at the bottom of this page, select a target version, then click on the Download button.
  • A package that contains an executable file and the firmware data will be downloaded.

[For Android / iOS operating systems]
  • Firmware can not be updated for TM Utility Ver.3.6.0 and earlier. Please upgrade to TM Utility Ver.3.7.0 or later.
  • With TM Utility Ver.3.7.0 or later, user management, password, access code are unnecessary.

  • Use the Firmware Update function of the TM Utility to update the firmware of the printer.
